LGBT Foundation Presents: FUBU

February 3, 2021 @ 1:00 pm 2:00 pm UTC+0

FUBU is a space explorative space that focuses on the sexual/mental health of Queer, Trans, Intersex people of colour who identify as male.

About this Event

Held every first Monday of the month, this is a space to explore the sexual health and wellbeing of queer people of colour who wish to access a male centred space. The event aims to create queer connections and educate you on how to take care of your sexual and mental health because the health disparities in our community is telling us that there is something that isn’t right!

The topics are centred on the experiences of queer men of colour. Facilitator, Louis Mills, aims to bring together conversations and solutions to the challenges that are typically faced in our community around sex and mental wellbeing. When Louis isn’t creating spaces as a Sexual Health Sessional he works full-time as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner for the NHS.

FUBU was created for cis, queer and questioning people of colour – including trans, non-binary and gender fluid POC, older and disabled POC – who wish to access a male centred space to come together and celebrate. In order to enable this, there are a few ground rules to ensure that everyone feels as welcome and comfortable as possible at all times.
